Kochi to host expo on wedding services

Our Bureau

Kochi , Oct. 26

THE Kochi-based Fonix Events is coming up with the first-ever wedding exhibition in Kerala at Kochi in association with Taj Residency, Ernakulam.

The three-day event, to be held from November 11, at Taj Residency will coincide with the launch of their new banquet hall - Waterfront.

Mr Subramanian Santakumar of the Fonix Events said that the company would like to organise a complete wedding planning exhibition for the simple reason that wedding exhibitions are a great way to see local wedding services and products all under one roof.

With the fast paced life and attitude of modern society in Kerala and along with the rising consumerist mindsets, a wedding exhibition would be an instant hit in the market, he added.

The complete wedding exhibition would include stalls from the printers, designers, jewellers, caterers, venues, boutiques, clothing, photography, florists etc.

There would be daily entertainment in the evenings and segments for invited crowds, which would be after the general exhibition timing of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The entertainment would include dances, fashion shows to showcase the product ranges of the stall owners.

There would be a Bride of the Year contest where three winners would be picked from the registered participants after a four round competition.

Mr Mathew C. Thomas, General Manager, Taj Residency said that the hotel would provide all infrastructural facilities for the smooth conduct of the exhibition.
