Our Bureau

Pune , Oct. 26

ALFA Laval has reported a dip in the net profit after tax at Rs 16.36 crore for the quarter ended September 2005 compared to Rs 20 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Total income stood at Rs 137.68 crore for the third quarter of the current calendar year, whereas the same was at Rs 128.75 crore with which the company had closed the second quarter, according to a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The figures for the current quarter ended September 30, 2005 include the operating results of the erstwhile wholly-owned subsidiary, Skansen Engineering & Consultancy Company Ltd (Skansen), which was merged with the company with effect from April 1, 2004. Hence, the figures are not strictly comparable with those for the corresponding earlier period. The figures for the previous year include the nine-month results of Skansen.
