Hardware Info-Tech - Financial Performance TVS-E turns in profit in Q2 Our Bureau
Chennai , Oct. 26 TVS Electronics has reported a net profit of Rs 47 lakh on revenues of Rs 70.26 crore for the quarter ended September 30, compared to a net profit of Rs 36 lakh on revenues of Rs 58.40 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Total expenditure for the Chennai-based IT peripherals manufacturer during September 2005 quarter was Rs 68.50 crore (Rs 55.12 crore) and interest was Rs 1.50 crore (Rs 1.21 crore). After a bad June quarter, it was a good performance during September, said the company's Director, Mr Gopal Srinivasan. "The June quarter was the worst for us in the last 14 quarters," he told newspersons. The company reported a net loss of Rs 79 lakh on revenues of Rs 52.09 crore during the June quarter. During September quarter, the company's efforts towards revenue growth started showing results with significant contribution from printers, keyboards and digital home access products. With a good growth anticipated in the IT industry, the company is gearing up for adding up more products, he said.
