Buying keeps rubber steady

SPOT rubber maintained a steady trend on Thursday. According to trading sources, certain tyre companies were buying sheet rubber up to Rs 65 a kg. NMCE November contract was quoted at Rs 65.30 ( 65.52), December at Rs 63.81 (64.14), January at Rs 64.10 ( 64.35) and February at Rs 64.25 ( 64.49) a kg for RSS 4.

November contract for RSS 4 was quoted at Rs 65.25 from Rs 65.18 a kg in MCX.

November futures for RSS 3 fell sharply to 189.5 yen against 195.5 yen at TOCOM. The grade continued to rule steady at Rs 76.45 a kg at Bangkok.

Physical rates Rs a kg were: RSS-4: 65.50 (65.50); RSS-5: 63 (63);

ungraded: 61 (61); ISNR 20: 63 (63) and latex 60 per cent: 42.50 (42.50).
