Praj Ind bags orders from Balrampur Chini, Swaziland co

PRAJ Industries, which provides machinery for breweries, has bagged orders worth Rs 100 crore.

According to a press release issued here, the major orders include those from Balarampur Chini Mills and a distillery expansion project in Swaziland from an African company.

The Praj Industries Chairman, Mr Pramod Chaudhari, has stated in the release that Balrampur Chini Mills has entrusted Praj Industries with the setting up of a greenfield distillery attached to the sugar mills at Balrampur. This is the eighth order from the company.

With a capacity of 60,000 litres per day, the plant will produce fuel ethanol as well as beverage grade alcohol. The order is worth Rs 15 crore. The plant will be installed over 12 months, he said.

In Africa, Praj has won the contract to supply technology and process design for the Royal Swaziland Sugar Corporation expansion project at Simunye, Swaziland, Mr Chaudhari said. The company was selected as a technology supplier after evaluation of international technology suppliers from Europe and the US, he added.

Praj has also received an order from Premier Agro of Pakistan for fuel ethanol. Apart from this, Praj had got the contract to produce fuel ethanol from beetjuice/molasses for the Turkey-based Konya Seker.
