Nominations for Teacher's award

NEW DELHI: Allied Domecq brand Teacher's Scotch whisky, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary across the world, is set to host the Teacher's Achievement Awards in India for the fifth successful year. The company has announced the nominations in the business category for the Teacher's Achievement Award 2005.

The final nominees in the business category for this year include Capt G.R. Gopinath, Managing Director, Air Deccan; Mr Analjit Singh, Chairman, Max New York Life India; Mr Sukhwinder Singh Prem, Managing Director, Reebok India; Mr V.G. Sidhartha, Chairman, Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Ltd; and Mr Subir Raha, Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC.

The Teacher's Achievement Awards were instituted in 2001. The awards recognise excellence in five different categories, namely business, sports, communication, entertainment and Teacher's Lifetime Achievement Award.
