New range of document shredders

Our Bureau

CHENNAI: FAL Industries, maker of office appliances and consumer durable goods among other things, has introduced its new range of document shredders.

A Pluz International, a newly established company, will distribute the product — FACIT paper shredders — in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Ravishankar, Vice-President, Bradma (Forbes Group), said that data breach and information espionage are serious concerns today. He said that 80 per cent of bank frauds in India happen because of insiders feeding information. He said that just as software information is protected by firewalls and encrypted data, there has to be a similar system whereby documents and manuscripts are destroyed safely.

Mr Nandukumar Dhruvan, one of the partners of A Pluz International, said that the shredder could destroy documents, CDs, credit cards and laminated sheets.
