Tirupur convention centre

COIMBATORE: The hosiery town of Tirupur will soon sport a convention centre with facilities at international standards. The convention hall will come up in the existing India Knit Fair complex on the outskirts of Tirupur.

Estimated to cost Rs 1.60 crore, the convention centre with a seating capacity of 700 will be built through a joint venture project between India Knit Fair Association, a body entrusted with management of the Tirupur-based knit fair complex, and Tamilnadu Water Investment Company Ltd, an infrastructure company, according to Mr A. Sakthivel, Chairman of the India Knit Fair Association.
