Blood donor motivators' meet in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Chapter of the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immuno-haematology (ISBTI) and the All-Kerala Blood Donors Society (KEBS) jointly organised a conference of blood donor motivators here on Friday last.

The Governor, Mr R. L. Bhatia, inaugurated the programme at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. It sought to bring together youth and NGOs into planning and implementing programmes to improve human resources to educate and motivate people to donate blood, a spokesperson for KEBS said here.

Among those who spoke on the occasion were Dr P. V. Sulochana, General Secretary, ISBTI; Dr Mohandas, Director, SCTIMST; Mr M. K. Joseph, former DGP, Kerala; and Mr C. Balagopal, Managing Director, Terumo Penpol.
