Chemicals Jayshree Chemicals Q2 net up at Rs 3.98 cr Our Bureau
Kolkata , Oct. 30 Based on the financial results for the quarter ended September, Jayshree Chemicals Ltd expects to come out of the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) by December. The company has also plans for capacity expansion by 100 tonnes of caustic soda per day, to raise the daily production capacity to 170 tonnes through the membrane cell technology. Jayshree Chemicals, the only caustic soda manufacturing unit in Orissa, posted a cash profit of Rs 4.28 crore and a net profit of Rs 3.98 crore during the quarter ended September, as against a loss of Rs 25 lakh and a net loss of Rs 47 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net sales also grew by 79 per cent to Rs 11 crore (Rs 6.64 crore). Net sales for the six months ended September, have risen to Rs 23.81 crore from Rs 14.24 crore for the corresponding period of the last year. Net profit has also gone up to Rs 4.18 crore as compared to the net loss of Rs 71 lakh for corresponding period last year.
