Qatar Airways alert

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Qatar Airways has issued an advisory strictly prohibiting the carriage of birds and pets in the cabin or the aircraft hold in view of the threat of the bird flu or avian influenza.

According to Mr Jayaprakash Nair, Manager, Qatar Airways, Thiruvananthapuram, the new advisory comes into effect with immediate effect. Birds and pets will not be allowed into any aircraft until notified otherwise, he added.
