Jindal Steel Q2 net up 18 pc at Rs 145.53 cr

NEW DELHI: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd announced an 18 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 145.53 crore for the second quarter this fiscal against Rs 123.49 crore in the year-ago period. The company reported a 24 per cent rise in Q2 net sales at Rs 621.26 crore (Rs 510.74 crore). The board has approved the payment of interim dividend at the rate of 100 per cent i.e., Rs 5 per equity share. The total amount of interim dividend amounts to Rs 15.40 crore, which would be disbursed from November 7.
