Security Group ties up with US co

Chennai , Nov. 2

THE Chennai-based Security Group, providers of security and security-related services, has entered a joint venture with the US-based Trojan Securities International, also a security solutions provider.

The new company will be called Trojan Securitas India Ltd, and will provide qualified security solutions for corporations, business houses and the Union Government, according to Mr J. Jayakumar, Director, Trojan Securitas.

Security Group has a 60 per cent stake in the joint venture with the US co holding the rest.

Mr Jayakumar said Trojan Securitas would be providing ancillary investigative services as well.

Mr Stephen J. Mastalerz, Director, Trojan Securitas, said Trojan Securities International has presence in countries in South America, Africa, and West Asia. It will bring its expertise to India, mostly in terms of training, and also some technology such as bullet-proof vests, bullet-proof glass and non-lethal weapons such as batons and stun guns.

Mr Jayakumar said the company would concentrate on providing guarding services, in terms of actually providing manpower as well as by training the existing security personnel.
