Textile Machinery Lakshmi Machine Works Q2 net up 77 pc at Rs 19.91 cr Our Bureau
COIMBATORE: Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd's (LMW) net profit during the second quarter of the current fiscal rose to Rs 19.91 crore (Rs 14.58 crore), recording a 77 per cent jump. Income from operations swelled to Rs 320.28 crore (Rs 230.96 crore), of which the textile machinery sales alone accounted for more than 90 per cent of the turnover at Rs 311.42 crore (Rs 219.68 crore), with the rest coming from the machine tools and foundry division. Other incomes increased marginally to Rs 8.89 crore (Rs 7.33 crore). The total expenditure (including consumption of raw material and staff cost) increased to Rs 281.65 crore (Rs 202.58 crore). The interest outgo slipped to Rs 1.44 crore (Rs 5.38 crore), while depreciation increased to Rs 10.14 crore (Rs 9.10 crore). While the earning per share for the period has been estimated at Rs 160.93 (Rs 117.90), the stock touched a 52-week high of Rs 14,500 on October 18 at the Bombay Stock Exchange. It closed at Rs 13,800 on Wednesday.
