Gulf Oil begins quality month celebrations at Kukatpally

THE Explosives Division of Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd is hosting a series of events and lectures from November 3 to December 2 to promote quality. The objective isto motivate workers to continue to implement quality improvement systems.

The theme of these celebrations is — `I Promise Quality' as the very concept of quality is directly linked to individual. The State Minister for Labour, Mr G. Vinod, declared the Quality Month Celebrations open at the company auditorium in Kukatpally on Thursday.

Expressing happiness that corporates were assigning priority to quality and safety procedures, the Minister said this would only help the industry to become a major player in the global market. Speaking on the occasion, the COO of the Explosives Division, Mr S. Chakrabarti, said the company, one of the largest detonator manufacturers in the world, is the first to introduce the non-electric detonating system in the country and believes that safety and quality goes hand in hand.
