THE next annual seminar of the All India Tourism Teachers' Association (AITTA) will be held here in January 2006.

The Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS) will organise the seminar, which will be held on January 6 and 7. The theme of the seminar is "issues and trends in ecotourism development in India", says a press release issued by KIITS.

Six sub-themes on topics such as issues in the implementation of ecotourism projects, development strategies for ecotourism, sustainability and ecotourism and preservation of culture and environment through ecotourism will be discussed at the seminar. The seminar, which is expected to draw participants from across the country, will also feature case studies on ecotourism projects, the release adds.

Those interested in presenting papers at the seminar must submit an abstract of the paper by November 25 this year, while the last date to register for the event is December 10. Further details on the seminar can be obtained by contacting the event's organisers at KITTS in Thiruvananthapuram.
