ONGC Academy bags training award

ONGC Academy, the in-house management development institute of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, has been adjudged the winner of the Golden Peacock National Training Award for 2005.

The Academy was adjudged the best from 186 entries, a company release said.

The awards take into consideration various parameters evaluated by a jury. In case of ONGC, the winning edge was its training methodology in areas relating to implementation of Six Sigma, mapping of the entire training methodology and modules on training history of ONGC Executives on SHRAMIK now merged with SAP-R/3, and innovative qualification up-gradation programmes, the release said.

The award was given by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, of Art of Living Guru and received by Dr A.K. Balyan, Director (HR) and his team.
