Letters Managing people
This is with reference to the article `Making people deserve what they desire' (Business Line, November 7), which went beyond the existing management mantras. A prospective candidate I met was absolutely right for a job in my client's set up. However he was getting less than 50 per cent of what the client had in mind. He was rejected without even a preliminary meeting. The reason was there were many juniors (read, demanding) who were getting far more than what my candidate was. This shows that the more demanding have emerged as the more desired. Gayatri
