Events ICT meet begins at Hyderabad Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov. 8 THE Computer Society of India (CSI), which is hosting its 40th annual convention here from November 9 to 12, plans to seek ways to apply information and communication technology (ICT) as an agent of change. The Chair Advisory Committee, CSI, Hyderabad chapter, Dr B.L. Deekshatulu, in a statement said the major focus of this convention to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy, was to take stock of concerns to broadbase ICT for development. The convention will include a technical programme where eminent invitees will address tracks on education, government, industry and technology. A CSI Enterprise Forum has been planned to focus on the concerns of CIOs and define the expectations of CEOs to help them compete in the global arena. While the overall theme is on Information and Communication Technology for National Development, the convention will also host panel discussions on ICT through its enterprise forum. CSI-Nihilent e-Governance awards for excellence will also be given away. About 150 experts are expected to take part in the meet and deliberate on the changes in the technology landscape.
