THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Government Contractors' Association has said that the State Government had violated an assurance to the High Court about dropping the Performance-Based Maintenance and Management (PBMM) system for implementing the Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP).

The President of the association, Mr Varghese Kannamballi, told newspersons that the Government was trying to reintroduce the PBMM contract through other means.

The association had withdrawn a petition after the Government had informed the High Court of its decision to cancel the PBMM.
