BANGALORE: Yahoo! India, the global Internet Communications and Media Company, has announced the appointment of Mr Deepak Karambelkar as its Head of Production and Content. He will assume office immediately.

Mr Karambelkar will be responsible for redrawing the content contours on Yahoo! India and offer cutting-edge content to the growing Indian audience. As part of its local content strategy, Mr Karambelkar and his production team will be responsible for building more local and relevant properties for Yahoo! India including news, finance, movies, cricket and music, said a company release.

Mr Karambelkar comes from Star TV where, as the Online Editor, he was responsible for Internet initiatives.
