Software Info-Tech - Alliances & Joint Ventures Compulink to develop tool with Microsoft Pratap Ravindran
Pune , Nov. 9 COMPULINK Systems has announced its collaboration with Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd to create an enterprise application, Whizible EPM, for the professional services and engineering industry. The Services Execution Management (SEM) solution will help automate key business processes of enterprises in the services sector so that they can manage various aspects of service delivery - resources, projects, customer communication, timesheets, and so on - in an integrated manner. Whizible EPM helps automate management, execution and tracking of operations for organisations that service external as well as internal audience. Microsoft's Enterprise Project Management Solution - based on MS Project Server - will bring together client, server and Web-based technologies to enable these organisations manage company-wide projects and align business initiatives for better results. Compulink's Whizible, with features complementary to MS Project Server, will help service-centric organisations manage projects, processes and interactions among teams. The jointly developed product is to be released in the next quarter. According to Mr Sundar Balasubramanium, Director, Information Worker Group, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd, "our partnership with Compulink will help harness its domain expertise in developing innovative solutions for the services industry. With the introduction of Whizible EPM, we hope to provide a cutting edge Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution to fulfil the information needs of global services delivery organisations who are executing projects through multiple teams which are often geographically dispersed." Commenting on the partnership, Mr Vishwas Mahajan, Chief Executive Officer, Compulink Systems, has said: "We are excited about this opportunity to build our product on the Microsoft's powerful EPM platform and though this joint development, we hope to deliver breakthrough benefits to users. We also look at this as a strategic relationship with Microsoft, and are very positive about this step." Established in 1996, Compulink Systems is an IP-led organisation that offers a portfolio of specialised products and services. Its products, Whizible SEM and Whizible PBN, are focused on the Services Execution Management space, and have achieved an installed base of approximately 30,000 users in over 75 organisations globally, including Accenture, Datamatics, Geometric, TCE and Honeywell. Compulink, as part of its foray into the global market, has recently opened a subsidiary, Compulink Europe Ltd, in the UK. It recently inaugurated its corporate campus at Hinjawadi in Pune. The new facility will be Compulink's primary centre for product development, marketing and IT support services.
