Ashok Leyland sales up in Apr-Oct

CHENNAI: Ashok Leyland sold 4,281 vehicles in October, 925 vehicles more than in the same month last year, but 1,594 vehicles fewer than in the previous month.

But the cumulative sales for the April-October period, at 32,496 vehicles was up 20.6 per cent compared with the sales in the same period last year.

Ashok Leyland sold 3,921 vehicles in the domestic market in October, 784 more than in the same month last year. Export sales were higher at 360, compared with 219. However, the truck maker had sold 5,384 vehicles in the domestic market and 591 vehicles abroad in September.
