Minister at Paradip

THE Shipping Minister, Mr T R Baalu, along with Secretary and Joint Secretary (ports) of his Ministry, visited the Paradip port on Friday last and reviewed the various development programmes of the port, including the construction of the deep draft iron ore berth, two clean cargo berths, deepening of the navigational channel and the construction of the western dock system comprising 8-10berths. This was the Minister's first visit to Paradip.

The port, he said, was set to emerge as one of the most important bulk-handling facilities on the east coast.
