Upgrading management institutes

Laxmi Mittal is right in pointing out that India's IIMs need to update their curriculum to match current industry requirements. It is also true that our management graduates are often in the dark about latest international trends in the field. China is facing a similar "education crisis".

Therefore, before we face what Mr Mittal calls an "outdated, obsolete education crisis", India's management institutes need to upgrade their syllabi every year to be on a par with global standards and requirements.
