Rubber Mixed trend in rubber prices Our Correspondent
Kottayam , Nov. 15 SPOT rubber market witnessed a mixed trend on Tuesday. RSS 4 and ungraded rubber lost marginally as covering groups turned inactive in the absence of fresh quotations from major manufactures. Other grades and latex closed steady with dull volumes. Sheet rubber declined to Rs 65 and Rs 65.25 at Kottayam and Kochi respectively from Rs 65.75 a kg on Monday. Subsiding rains renewed the hopes for enhanced arrivals while the market players expect further decline in prices. On NMCE, December delivery contract ruled at Rs 65 (Rs 64.92), January at Rs 64.70 (Rs 64.70) and February at Rs 64.90 (RS 64.92) per kg for RSS 4. The December contract for the grade closed at Rs 65.15, from Rs 65.29 a kg on MCX. Spot prices a kg were: RSS-4: Rs 65 (Rs 65.75); RSS-5: Rs 63 (Rs 63); Ungraded: Rs 60 (Rs 60.50); ISNR 20: Rs 63 (Rs 63); and Latex 60 per cent: Rs 43 (Rs 43).
