New Delhi , Nov. 16

AMERICAN Airlines, which started daily non-stop flights between Chicago and Delhi on Wednesday, has no immediate plans to start operating from any other city here, the airline's Vice-President, Europe and Pacific Division, Mr Craig Kreeger, has said.

"We would like to build on this flight. At the moment the bookings on the new flight are off to a great start. This shows the market's tremendous potential," Mr Kreeger said.

Commenting on the launch, the President of Air Sahara, Mr Ronojoy Dutta, said this was a major step towards achieving recognition as a player in the international scenario. American Airlines has a code-share agreement with Air Sahara on the new flight. The airline operates a Boeing 777 aircraft that can seat 244 passengers.
