`Domestic offer will be bigger'

The CFO at ICICI Bank, Mr Vishaka Mulye, says that the domestic offering will be much larger than the international one. Excerpts from CNBC-TV18's exclusive interview with Mr Mulye:

Does the $1.44 billion, which you have arrived at, include both the domestic and the ADS offer?

We have announced a Rs 7,000-crore equity issue, plus a green shoe of 15 per cent, which is actually the combination of both international and domestic. We filed for 118.4 million shares, which is the maximum that we would be doing in the international market. Would the international offering be one-third of the domestic issue?

It is very difficult to comment on that. All I can say is that the domestic issue would be much larger than the international issue.

By when do you expect to commence and conclude the ADS?

We will shortly announce the split between the international and domestic offering. We are awaiting the regulatory and shareholders' approval. The minute we get that, we will give the exact split.

Will the domestic offering happen in December?

It is likely to take place then, along with the international issue as well, if everything goes fine and we get all the regulatory approvals.
