IIM-A students haul rich harvest this summer

THE summer internship recruitment process for the 249 students of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has been completed with 73 students being placed on the very first day.

The rest of the batch was placed on the second day. Investment bank Lehman Brothers and FMCG giant HLL had the maximum number of acceptances at 13.

"Morgan Stanley, McKinsey, Bain Consulting and Acumen Fund recruited exclusively from IIM-A," said Prof P.K. Sinha, Chairman of the Placement Committee.

A total of 86 companies visited the campus, including some in sunrise sectors such ascommodities trading, NGO consulting and government infrastructure financing. Also, a number of regular recruiters such as the Tata Group, ICICI, MetLife and P&G offered international positions for summer interns.
