New Projects Dow Corning to set up manufacturing unit near Pune Our Bureau
Pune , Nov. 18 DOW Corning Corporationis expanding capacities in India and setting up a manufacturing facility at the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation's Ranjangaon industrial area, off Pune. The new plant, scheduled to become operational in 2006, will manufacture a range of value-added products including polymers, lubricants, sealants and emulsions for the Asian market, Mr Raj Kapur, Managing Director, Dow Corning India Pvt Ltd said. The Pune facility will also house an Application Engineering Technical Services (AETS) laboratory, which will offer local and international enterprises world-class and cutting-edge technologies in partnership with Dow Corning's technical professionals, he added. "This new facility will help us support the needs of local and multinational customers, and is an important part of our growth plans for India and for Asia." Mr Kapur said.
