The Hindu Business Line : Two-day finance meet in Chennai from Nov 24

Mr K.K. Swamy, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, said the programme would focus on key issues with regard to emerging global trends in finance, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, retail financing and corporate governance.

He said that emphasis would be on the role of technology and how it affects the financial intricacies of a company.

The forum would feature eminent speakers from finance, regulatory, accounting and the investing community. The sessions would look at the diversity of the roles played by the Chief Financial Officer in the present climate, and the challenges in the field.

Mr Swamy said inputs from various industrial segments would help participants in developing financial strategies.

Some of the speakers at the programme include Mr K. Sridharan, Executive Director (Finance), Ashok Leyland Ltd; Mr Pankaj Agarwal, Managing Director, CLSA Securities; and Mr V.S. Vasudevan, Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, Dr Reddy's Laboratories.

Mr Swamy said the target participants are CEOs, CFOs, investment and fund managers, bankers, management consultants, treasury managers, insurers and policy makers.
