New Delhi , Nov. 19

ELECRAMA - 2006, an international exhibition of industrial electronics in Asia and Africa, will be held in Mumbai from January 18 to 22.

A mascot called IEEMA has been created to promote the event. A thousand companies are expected to participate in the Indian Trade and Promotion Organisation approved exhibition. Seventh in its series, ELECRAMA has so far witnessed participation from electrical companies such as Bharat Heavy Electricals and Crompton Greaves. The Power Ministry is taking an active interest in the show and is organising a workshop on `Best Practices in Distribution.' Some of the events at the exhibition include TRAFOTECH-2006, a two-day seminar on transformer technology and PROJECTS-2006, a one-day seminar on the challenges in project execution.

The exhibition offers an opportunity to tap the domestic market through direct sales, joint ventures and technical collaboration.
