People Artist honoured Our Bureau
BANGALORE: The Dayawati Modi Foundation has honoured artist, Tyeb Mehta with this year's Dayawati Modi Award for Art Culture and Education for 2005.The award carrying a purse of Rs 2.51 lakh, a silver shield and a scroll of honour was presented to Mehta in Delhi recently. The award has been instituted by the Modi Group in memory of the late Dayawati Modi, wife of the late Gujar Mal Modi, for outstanding contributions made in the field of art, culture and education.
