BHEL awards for employees

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Thursday announced the winners of its `Excel' awards for 2004-05 to be presented to its 28 employees for their meritorious achievements in various fields.

The awards will be presented here on November 28 by the company's Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Ashok K. Puri, BHEL said in a statement.

Employees selected for award belong to BHEL units at Tiruchi, Hyderabad, Ranipet, Haridwar and Bangalore, besides the R&D team and power sector - western region. The objective of the award is to recognise, reward and place on record any outstanding contribution from employees towards growth and profitability of the company and also the society, it said.

The Excel awards, which are being conferred in various categories, carry a cash of up to Rs 50,000 for individuals and up to Rs 5 lakh for groups.
