Chennai , Nov 24

KHIVRAJ Tech Park (P) Ltd, the company that has developed Olympia Technology Park in Chennai, is going in for a second IT (Information Technology) property in the city.

Mr V. Kalyanraman, President, Olympia Technology Park, said that the second IT park covering 700,000 sq ft will be coming up on an 8-acre property, between Pallavaram and Chrompet on GST Road. The project would be developed in two phases.

The company has decided to continue to use the brand name Olympia for this project also, as it has been well accepted in the market, Mr Kalyanraman said.

He said that the architects for this project would be RMJM from Singapore.

Most of the space in the company's first project - the Olympia Technology Park - has been committed.

ABN Amro, Hewlett Packard and Hewitt Associates are among the companies that will take up space in this facility.

Another client, an IT major with whom the company has a confidentiality clause, has absorbed 300,00 sq ft.

The lease rentals are between Rs 34 and Rs 41 per sq ft, he said.

The Olympia Technology Park was promoted by the Khivraj Group along with Eveready Industries on 8.4-acre land in Guindy.

This property will be ready by March 2006.
