LLOYDS TSB has announced a business process outsourcing deal, with IT company Xansa, which would entail delivery of back office processes in life and pension domains from the latter's India operations.

The size of the deal has not been disclosed. "While we cannot divulge the size of the contract, it will result in a starting position of 150 employees," a company official said.

According to Xansa, the contract builds on the company's strategy of delivering back-office processes to the financial sector.
