AP Govt to go in for outsourcing

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Government has said that it might go in for outsourcing to carry out certain jobs that cannot be handled by them.

Addressing the valedictory of a training programme for the newly elected civic chiefs at the Marri Channa Reddy Human Resources Development Institute here on Friday, the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, said the effort was to cut down on expenditure.

In order to improve the financial strengths of the civic bodies, the Government would also allow regularisation of unauthorised structures. He also wanted the civic bodies to acquire land and develop them into plots. Besides giving them revenues, this would help keep tabs on unauthorised ventures.
