FICCI meet on pharma and health from December 1

THE India-Africa-ASEAN-GCC Pharma & Health Conference to be organised jointly by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (PHARMEXCIL), will be held in Hyderabad during December 1-2, 2005.

The Union Ministries of Commerce & Industry, Chemicals & Fertilisers, External Affairs and Health & Family Welfare are supporting the event.

At this forum, senior officials of Health Ministry, registration authorities and private companies/trading houses from African-ASEAN-GCC countries will be present and interact with leading Indian manufacturers, health service providers, etc for sourcing their healthcare requirements from India.

This is the first event of its kind where Drug Controllers/Senior Health Officials from over 25 countries along with over 125 businessmen from Africa, ASEAN and GCC would participate, according to a press release. The highlights of the conference would be seminars and interactive sessions on the following topics:

· Drug Regulatory systems in India

· What India can offer to Africa-ASEAN-GCC nations.

· What are India's strength in the Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare & Medical Services, Biotech and AYUSH sectors.

· Presentations by the concerned authorities of each country.

· Drug registration requirements in Africa-ASEAN-GCC countries

· Buyer seller meet
