Siemens consortium wins Rs 2,600-cr deal in Qatar

Mumbai , Nov. 28

A CONSORTIUM of Siemens India and Siemens AG, Germany, has signed two contracts amounting to Rs 2,600 crore for the development of power transmission networks in Qatar.

This is the largest export order won by Siemens in India, said Mr J. Schubert, Managing Director, Siemens Ltd.

Siemens Ltd gets Rs 2,300 crore worth of contract out of these assignments. These contracts received from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation will be executed by Power Transmission & Distribution Division of Siemens Ltd.
