New Products & Services Info-Tech - Telecommunications Airtel launches fixed wireless phone at Kollam Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leading telecom services provider Airtel has introduced its Fixed Wireless Phone (FWP) products in Kollam. FWP is a normal fixed line phone but uses a SIM card to direct and receive calls and thereby helps avoid the usage of cables. FWP enjoys as the benefits of being a fixed line phone and a mobile phone at the same time. It features a competitive tariff structure for calls made to a mobile phone from a landline. There is a fixed monthly charge of Rs 1,000, which includes Rs 1,000 worth free calls. The call charges are as follows: Local calls at 40 paise to any mobile; STD at Rs 2.00/minute to any mobile; data usage at Rs 3 per MB; ISD to US and Canada at Rs 6/minute and to Gulf at Rs 10/minute.
