Acclaris to hike headcount

ACCLARIS Business Solutions Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acclaris Inc of Tampa, Florida, has announced plans to increase its headcount in India from around 300 to 1,000 in the next two years.

The business process solutions provider operates from three premises in Kolkata and one in Visakhapatnam. The headcount of the Indian operations will soon go up to 450, according to Mr John B. West, President and CEO, Acclaris Inc.

Speaking to newspersons at a function to mark the inauguration of the company's third service centre in Kolkata and its fourth in India, Mr West said that the US economic growth needed India and its pool of talented peopleFor Acclaris, West Bengal was an ideal base for offering outsourced business process solutions. With the quality of human resources available in the State, Acclaris was exploring the possibility of setting up BPO centres in smaller cities in the State, such as Durgapur and Siliguri.
