Good response to job fair in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Various companies taking part in the three-day Job Fair 2005 bring organised by the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board here on Saturday shortlisted as many as 297 candidates for the next round of interviews.

They were among the 1,156 who registered their names at the Fair the same day. Each candidate was given a code number after the free registration. Later the candidates were called in batches to tour the 33 pavilions at the Fair.

The largest number of candidates (110) was shortlisted by HDFC. Banking multinational ING Vysya selected 40, while Wi-fi Solutions took in 35 candidates. BPL Mobile has identified 26 candidates for further screening.
