SunTec to set up training centre

SUNTEC Business Solutions is planning to set up a new software development and training centre in Thiruvananthapuram.

Speaking at a press conference in the city on Monday, Mr K. Nanda Kumar, CEO, SunTec Business Solutions, said the company's new development centre will be able to seat around 450 people.

The company, which develops transaction billing and pricing solutions for the telecom and financial services sectors, is also looking at setting up its own campus as part of the expansion of the city's Technopark, he added. It is alsoworking on developing specialised solutions for niche verticals within these domains, he explained.

Similarly, it was also looking at developing software products for other sectors such as insurance and utilities, Mr Nanda Kumar added.

Over the past few months, the company has reworked its distribution strategy and recently set up a customer support centre in Frankfurt in Germany. And on the cards are similar support centres in the US and the UK, he said.

SunTec is also looking at launching roadshows and campaigns to attract customers in the UK and the rest of Europe, Mr Nanda Kumarsaid.

The company is also exploring new markets such as Australia, Canada, Japan and various countries in South-East Asia, he added.

The company expects to end the ongoing financial year with a turnover of over $18 million, he said.
