THE Managing Director of Tata Iron and Steel Company Ltd., Mr B. Muthuraman, today asked the students of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) to take up the challenge of leading India into global competitiveness.
He was speaking at the institute's tenth annual convocation ceremony here. "Managers of today need to be prepared to meet global challenges and address the demand of a complex and an inter-connected world," Mr Muthuraman added. Diplomas were awarded to 478 successful students at the convocation.
Congratulating the students, Mr Anil Shastri, Chairman, LBSIM, said, "The institute's vision for the next decade is to establish itself as a global centre for excellence in the sphere of management in various specialised areas."
LBSIM, established by Lal Bahadur Shastri Educational Trust in 1995, has MBA and MCA programmes. The MCA programme is affiliated to Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University.
