MUMBAI: BV Biologicals, a group company of Venkateshwara Hatcheries specialising in livestock management and healthcare, has announced that it has entered into a joint venture with Bhartiya Agro Industries Foundation (BAIF) to bring quality livestock management systems and effective disease control programmes to the small and marginal farmer segment.

An MoU in this regard was signed by Mr O.P. Singh, CEO of the Venkateshwara group and Dr N.G. Hegde, President of BAIF.

"The BAIF-BV Biologicals association will work together towards preparing the farmers to face challenges of competitive productivity and growing international needs," the company said in a release.

BAIF said that it will provide staff recruitment solutions and facilitate penetration into the deeper rural areas while BV Biologicals will provide facility upgradation, lab installations, and other technical support.

"BAIF-BV Biologicals aims to provide improved and specialised technical service, disease diagnosis, nutritional solutions, fertility solutions, udder management techniques, post-vaccination diseases surveillance and farm bio-security measures. It will also focus on data generation, accreditation, and validation," the company said.
