Nestle India to pay second interim of Rs 18 per share

THE board of directors of Nestle India declared the second interim dividend of Rs 18 per equity share for the current year, which would be paid to the shareholders from December 22. With this, the total dividend payment during 2005, including the interim dividend of Rs 5 per share that was paid in May, would aggregate to Rs 23 per equity share. This represents 230 per cent of the nominal share value.

According to a press release, the Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India, Mr Martial Rolland, said, "Our company's policy is to reward its shareholders. This is expressed in our dividend distribution, the one for this year being the highest paid dividend in any one year out of the profits for that year."
