Hyderabad , Dec. 6

RAMKY group, the Hyderabad-based infrastructure company, has won orders to develop industrial parks in several States on a build, operate and transfer model.

It has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Haldia Development Authority (HDA), West Bengal Government, for developing the Biopharma Chemical Park.

Ramky has started the feasibility study on the proposed Rs 750-800-crore park. "We should be in a position to begin actual work early next year," said Mr A. Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Managing Director of the group.

Similarly, the company is undertaking an electroplating industrial park near Madurai. The project is estimated to cost Rs 30 crore. An MoU has been signed with the Electroplating Industries Association of Madurai, he told Business Line.

Another major venture would be with the Government of Uttaranchal. A Rs 200-crore project for developing an industrial park in Sitargunj, close to Rudrapur has been won. About 350 acres of land has been identified, Mr Reddy said.

The Ramky group, which specialises in environment-related infrastructure development, has also won the consultancy projects for the development of the proposed IT & BT park at Pantnagar and the foundry park in Haldia, he added.

The company has also plans for several projects in other States as well. In the area of municipal waste management, the company has bagged contracts for municipal solid waste management from Mumbai, Dehradun, Haldia and Ahmedabad.

The booming real estate business in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad has enthused the group to also take up residential complexes.

It would begin with a 700-800 flat complex in Gachibowli in Hyderabad. During 2005-06, real estate is expected to bring in Rs 40 crore of the expected Rs 500-crore total turnover, Mr Reddy said.
