Software Zensar to set up Hyderabad centre Remote hub for overseas clients V. Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , Dec. 6 ZENSAR Technologies Ltd, the Pune-based software solutions provider, has announced its plan to locate a remote hub for its delivery model in Hyderabad to service its Japanese, Chinese and US customers. This centre will be Zensar's first in South India and aims to focus on providing extended delivery for operations and will showcase implementation of solution blueprinting approach for software development. Speaking to Business Line, the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Zensar, Mr Ganesh Natarjan, said that this centre, which would initially host about 35-40 people, is expected to grow to about 400 by 2006 end. The company currently employs about 2,700, including 450 of them in innovative technology solutions, 380 in enterprise solutions, 200 in business process optimisation and about 1,500 in application development services. The Head of Global Operations Centre, Zensar, Mr Vijay Saradhi, will lead the Hyderabad centre, which would initially operate from a leased premise. Mr Natarajan said: "the expansion is aimed at a larger footprint and to leverage the locational advantage that Hyderabad offers as an IT destination.' Mr Krishna Ramaswami, Head of Innovative Technology Solutions group, said: "We have also tied up with Symbiosis Business School and partner with them to groom people with different skills and a mindset away from software coding". The Hyderabad centre will have about 250 professionals in the enterprise solutions, covering both Oracle and SAP, and this would specifically address areas of financial services and retail business verticals.
