New Delhi , Dec. 6

AFTER the recent reduction in fuel surcharge, SpiceJet on Tuesday announced the opening of bookings for February-March 2006, offering 51,000 seats at special fares ranging from Rs 999 to Rs 1,499. The average seats on these offers will be over twenty-five per flight. With the induction of two more Boeing 737-800 aircraft in November, SpiceJet now offers nearly 2 lakh seats per month on its eleven-city network.

Promotional fares will be available across the SpiceJet network of 36 daily flights covering 11 cities. Bookings will be open from 10.00 a.m. on December 7. In addition to SpiceJet's Web site www.spicejet.com, seats can be booked through the call centre at 1600 180 3333/ 0 987 180 3333 or at Spice Shops across the operating stations.

Since its launch in May, SpiceJet has so far sold over seven lakh seats, out of which nearly ten percent were offered in the promotional categories. In the last five months, this is the largest number of promotional tickets sold by any airline in India.
