Fishermen at Blangad beach in Chavakkad drying fish. The lifting of dam shutters in the State to drain excess water promises a bumper fish harvest as these waters carry heavy deposits of nutrients that are part of the aquatic food chain. Small fish feed on them, which in turn attract larger fish.
